the LS1 are a PBR caliper, using 12" rotors.
The C5/Z06 are also a PBR caliper, using a different construction method, using a 13" rotor.
Both are a dual piston setup.

I'm confused. I thought the C5 brake setup, regardless of model C5, used the PBR caliper and the 12 inch rotor. The Z06 model has the same caliper, but its painted red.

The Baer GT+ setup for the FBody has the same caliper but the hardware is designed for the 13 inch rotor.

The C5 calipers are a pressure casting and have additional casting for increased stiffness. They also utilize a 12.8" rotor.

The LS1 caliper is a gravity casting and is supposedly more prone to spreading. It also has a 12" rotor.

I think you are correct--PBR makes both.

As good as the C5 Z06 is, I still cannot believe it doesn't run a premium grade brake system with 4 piston forged front calipers, stainless or titanium pistons, a premium slotted rotor, and a high temp fluid, like Motul or Ate. All of this could be added for probably $1,000.00 at the most on the sticker and would dramatically improve the car, especially for track day/drivers' ed events (admittedly you'd need to put racing pads on to maximize track performance). This kind of car deserves this kind of brake system.
