Can you install the electric waterpump without taking the whole GM waterpump off the car? It looks like if I pull the right fan out it might just go in? thanks.

 

You have to take the housing off to get the impeller and drive shaft out. The biggest thing is that you have to pound the seal and bearing out from the back, and then pound the freeze plug in from the front.
