jsut a thought, of what do you guys run and who is the fastest around?

also say your car some mods and list if your car is streetable(can drive 100 miles to a track, race and drive back theoretically, your allowed to get gas)

I know I am the fastest 3.4L around, well until some claims they are faster

Haven't been to OSW, so I don't know what I'll run, I plan on going after Summer B.

My car is bone stock and the only thing I've lost to was a Ferrari 360 Modena Spyder on the highway.

- modified Supra (the guy couldn't drive)





It sounds like you've got a real strong running V6, what are some cars that have been a close race for you?

 

13.6 @ 101mph before longtubes...

crap @ 102mph after longtubes... just need traction and cooler weather

 

Well I know your 3.4 might also be the fastest local 3.8 around here...

 

right now my car cant make it 5 feet without stuttering and hesitating.



as for the fastest "street" cars around.......

i know of a red ZR1 vette and a black supra in the tampa area that both trap around 140mph.

im sure theres some guys down in the ftlauderdale area that do also.

i know theres a green civic in ftlauderdale thats traps 130 (ive seen it).........hehe.........thats some fast rice.
a guy in sarasota has a grey AWD talon that traps 126.

 

some guy from ftlauderdale was running low 13s in his v6 with nitrous.

 

Whats he run N/A? I should have added I think I am the fastest 3.4L around N/A, there is a guy runing a turbo hitting mid 13s and other guys obviosly running juice.

As for fasest 3.8L ? No way in hell I have run 14.8-15.6 3.8L v6s at OSW and shanes car is high 13s on the juice.

Currently I say I am the fastest N/A 3.4L, because no one seems to have any solid claims, there better be some peopel because I am stock computer, stock exhasut manifolds and stock motor(stock cams, heads).

 

13.7@101.8 w/ 2.1 60' as of last night. This is w/ Mac's and offroad pipe, CAI, Nitto's, and Flowmaster cat-back. The mac's alone dropped me almost .4 and gave me 3 mph. With some cold weather and traction (almost impossible at OSW ) I should be able to hit 13.5's, but I'll just wait till the fall for that.

Whistler's cars are damn fast.

 

13.0@108 on stock motor with bolt ons. Should run mid 12's around 114 after my hotcam kit is installed.

 

I guy i used to work with and go to HS with has a 97 Firebird 3.8 V6 and on the bottle he is runnin 13.xx. Not to shabby for a v6 car!!! its a teal firebird with SLP written across the front in white letters he also lives in Deltona! His dads got a nice 98 or 99 Ram Air T/A

 

hehe I think you guys are not educated on v6 f-bodies.

93-95 are 3.4L 160 hp.

95.5-02 are 3.8Ls that are 200 hp stock

so we are taliking almost begger then lt1-ls1 ratings with my car and most v6s on the road.

Funny I thought some guys were running tubbed race cars they don't have to be f-bodies.


As for fast v6s backin in the day I saw joe palermo's 99 v6 run 14 flats hitting the speed limiter before the track(no computer tuning at the time.
