Polishing Cloths
Liquid Tide or All, just as long as it is liquid, does not matter the brand name.

I thought youu should always use a soap designed for car washing because others are too strong and will strip the wax you applied the last time you washed the car. Also, you don't want to use laundry detergent because it doesn't foam much and the foam helps suspend the dirt so it can be washed away.
As far as towels go, use 100% cotton, made in USA, or baby diapers. A product that I like a lot is called the absorber annd comes in a big plastic tube. It resembles a chamois but is extremely absorbent.
One trick to minimize spots is after washing and rinsing the car, take the nozzle off the hose and let the water run over the car gently. As it flows off, it'll take 99% of the water drops with it.
