I've had experience with both. Last year I painted my wheel wells for car shows and usually had to repaint it for every one of them. This year I used undercoating but its only been on there for about a week so only time will tell. I'm thinking that the undercoating should last alot longer than just paint. I'll keep you posted as to how it goes.

Depends. What do you want? You want a factory look? Do you drive it a lot? Painted wells may not hold up to your driving conditions. They won't look factory. They require a little more maintenance to keep looking new.

A quality undercoat can look factory and last a long time and is easy to touch up.

Keep you wells looking new by frequent washing and treatment with Lexol's Vinylex.

Clean wells are a great way to make your car stand out, just like rims that are completely clean, not just the outside (face). Kinda one of those things you don't realize that you notice, but you do.

I painted my rear wheel wells with POR-15, made them look really good.
