Help! Lower a-arm bolt won't come out.

I can't get the lower bolt that connects the lower a-arm to the K-frame, the tie rod is in the way. How the hell do I get it out of there without removing the steering rack? Do I have to cut it off and replace it with a new one? I have lost all patience with my car.

Just remove the steering rack, its only two bolts and the steering shaft.

There should be enough slack in the lines to let you move it enough to get the bolt out.

Thanks man, I just started to do that when someone in the tech section told me to turn the steering wheel Sometimes I think the brain shuts down when working on cars.

When you start getting that frustrated, it's time to grab a root beer and go watch TV for at least 30 minutes. You need to get your mind off of the car and settle down. Taking that break will actually save you time and money. ... Less broken parts.

I guess that works too. I always seem to find the hard way to do things...

That is a good idea tho, it never would have occured to me since I was replacing the rack anyways when I took the A-arms off...
