Jason I'd be there, but my car isn't ready :(. But it's getting there :). Rich Krause Signal 05-14-2003, 06:37 PM I read your post about your car, that thing sounds like it's going to be a monster!...Good luck getting her together! :) I would love an LS1 but a car like yours makes me think an LT1 with an ATI would be awesome!... Jason The LS1 is a great motor. If I were getting a car to keep mostly stock or bolt-ons, I'd go for an LS1. When you start with real heavy mods, an LT1 car makes more sense. It's a lot cheaper to buy in the first place, and since it's worth less you lose less value when you do heavy mods (which make a car essentially non-salable). You also have more $$$ to put into it due to the lower purchase price. The car is progressing. The shifter is in, the tranny cooler is in. Buddy (at Kennedy's) found a great place to mount it. He's a master at putting stuff where the General never thought of. The fuel pumps need to be installed and wired up and we are waitng for a driveshaft. Other than that, the gas tank has to come back from the welder and be installed and the Acceleronics box needs to go in and be wired. Then it should be ready to fire up :) The TH400 fits great with the CSI tranny shield, I was surprised at that. There's close to an inch of clearance all around. Rides should be available at the next FLFB meeting, with any luck! Dave Signal 05-15-2003, 12:03 PM I hear ya on the LS1, I used to have a black '98 T/A that was a blast...However I did see a nice black '97 Z28 that looked very clean for 10K...Black leather, the 30th emblems on the seats, and a CD player to boot...And only 50K miles...That was a very tempting offer that I'm still thinking over cause I'd love to get back into a 4th gen F-body...If I do I'll try meeting up with you guys for some of those meets!...
