autozone (melling) pushrods hardened?

autozone (melling) pushrods hardened?

need to know if they are hardened im using guideplates. kev

heh, actually ive been there, done that and was wondering the same thing when i did it. i forget what year i asked for, but the Melling pushrods i got from Autozone were hardened. all the 87-95 305/350 f-body pushrods are the same length and all were hardended from the factory. so ask for any year in that range and what they give you should be hardened. to test, when you get home run a hacksaw over one of the pushrods. if its not hardened the saw will cut into it, if it is hardened, it wont

I used them before I blew a head gasket. and they seem to work good. I had no problems with them when they were on the car. Now I went with a total different set up now that i went with a bigger cam.

i got the 93's, so i should be good to go. they are hardened , i tried the hacksaw test. thanks for the info guys kevin
