Why are you going to cut them out?
You won't gain much of anything from not having them........
A CAI kit would do you much better.

If you still insist on getting rid of your polution control then you will need to fool the O2 sensors into thinking you still have cats.....

Good Luck.

If you want to lose the cats why not just install a set of single cat headers with no cat while you are at it? You can get a set used here for as low as $2-300. It's not fun messing with the stock dual cat y-pipe especially if it's been on there a while. Once you break a couple y-pipe studs taking it off to work on it you'll see what I mean Either way you will need rear O2 simms to avoid an SES light.

Thats basically what I did. I unplugged the 02's and through in the sims. This will fix the check engine light problem also.

When I cut my cats off, I could tell a little difference in performance considering I cut both of mine off at the same time.
