You know your hard core when you drive through the ice storm, 51/2 hrs, just to get a motor.

It was slip sliding the whole way. About 20 cars in the ditch or smashed up. The cheeks were tightened up a few times.

Made it there to watch them finish the motor up and take some pics.

Only took 41/2 hrs getting back, and 15 minutes of that was spent at the duty free station 90 MPH all the way. BTW, the Silverado does have a limiter at 100 MPH. Dont ask me how I know.

Motor is looking good. Flow sheets on the heads look GREAT. Get ready to rock & roll Andy!!

I was really surprised how much ice was up there, we were at Mom & Dad's last night and they had at least a 1/4" of ice on all the trees. On a side note what type of road work are they starting on M-52 tomorrow? Is it the part between I-69 & Owosso?

Chad, I dont know what's going on with 52. There was talk about making it a 4 lane from 69 to Owosso. Maybe they are taking that on this year, in which case, that will be an area to avoid. You can get to your dads quicker by getting off at the Bancroft exit and going through Corunna, right up State Rd.

 

For Dad's house we get off at Durand Rd and run that right straight up. We usually get off at 52 to go to Laura's parents because they live in Shields.
