Question Hookers(94-95) on a 97. Give me your opinion!

This is what I plan on doing. I have a Borla cat-back (94-95 style) on order and will be ordering (94-95) Hooker 1 5/8" shorties w/y-pipe from Jet Hot Direct. I am also buying o2sims and having an exhaust shop make me an off-road pipe. Now, if I'm right, this should all work together properly, right? Also, what header gaskets do you recommend?
Thanks,
Tyler

Thats what I did. Yes it will work. The 94-95 style headers are a better designed headers. Use Fel-pro header gaskets.

Thanks Jeff,
In GMhightechperformance magazine they used flow-tech dead soft aluminum gaskets with these headers. Are those any good? I don't want any leaks in the future!

I just bought a set of those for my Hooker LT's that I have yet to install, but havent used them yet. They look nice, but they better be for $20 a pair.

I also hear that when you get the Hooker shorties you will want to grind the collector holes about 1/4" bigger as they are smallish from the factory. You might want to do a search on it for more info.

As far as I know all you have to do is buy an s-pipe to convert your 96-97 dual cat cat-back to a 94-95 style single cat. Thunder racing sells a stainless one for around $65. If I'm wrong here, somebody jump in!

If i got headers, y-pipe and cats all from a 95, what would I need to attatch it to my 96-97 catback?
