Need to up grade headlights, need some info.
I did a search and was over whelmed with info. all I basically want to do is upgrade my headlights to be brighter and either shine hyper white or have a bluish tint. I already have a badass set of piaa driving lights replacing the factory fogs, and I have clear corners. I don't want to go with the auto optik conversion becasue it is crap. I was thinking about just pulling the bulb out of the factory housing and silconing in a different bulb. What is a good bulb to put in the factory housing and in the corners. Thanks for any info.

The Sylvania Silverstars are about the brightest that I have seen that run the stock wattage and all. Just changing out to those bulbs is your cheapest (probably) or at least the most strait forward (easiest) way to go. You can upgrade to higher wattage bulbs, and get an even brighter output, but you have to fo a little wiring along with that.

There is a lighting place by my house that sells higher wattage bulbs that fit factory harnesses. I know my buddy has a 02 silverado that is all done up and he has 100 watt bulbs in both his high and low beams. The only wiring he did was add a relay to kick the low beams on with the high beams, but our cars do that already. So what exactly did you mean by I would have to do some extra wiring? Wiring is no prob. for me, in fact I kinda like to do it.

Check out some of "Bawls" posts...he did this.
There was one on here recently where another guy did it.
Just look back a few days or something and you should be able to find out more. The reason I am not going into more detail is because I haven't done it, so I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction.
