HID Conversion

I was looking around on ebay at the HID conversion kits. They all seem to have good ratings but as anyone on here actaully bought a set. Have you had any problems out of them. I am just trying to figure out if thay are still working after 6 moths to 1 year. I have used aftermarket bulbs like the silverstars and they work good but they dont seem to last and at 40.00 a pop they get pricey. im seeing HID's down around 100.00 which doesnt seem bad as long as they last a little while. Any problems with the ballasts or wiring.

I'm running a Kaixen 6500K H4 Hi/low kit with Hella 165mm Halogen housings which have been working fine for a year now. However, I do not use the car much so I would not say they have worked great for a year since its been used a fraction of that time. Go with a new housing and try to stay away from the reallllly cheap HID kits.

I rarely drive my car at night and only drive it to work once a week just thought it would look better at night with a set of these. Im only interested in doing the low beams and possibly the fogs unless i just put some yellow bulbs in them.
