Post fastening mesh screen to fiberglass

I have a fiberglass cowl hood and would like to put a mesh screen in the scoop. How would I fasten the mesh to the fiberglass? Is there some kind of glue that would hold the screen in place?

I assume you mean the opening to the rear of the cowl?? I also got a 3" cowl and if so, that is a good idea cause fall is comming and I am sure leaves will be trying to find their way into the engine bay. As far as how to fasten the screen in place, I'm not sure. I'll have to think about this.

I'm thinking some of that double stick tape that you attatch camper shells to the bed of trucks might help. My big block hood is rendered useless because I have to have the hood mat (whatever you call it) in place so crap or water won't get to the engine.

I have also thought of using some light foam after the screen to keep water out but let hot air out too. I'm going to use some of that screen for windows. Costs about $5 at Home Depotheads for more than you will ever need. You can use the leftovers to make silencers for your guns.
