Where to put an open air filter?

I am redoing my whole intake and the only thing left to do is mount the filter. Where should I mount it? The stock space or maybe straight down in front of the serpentine belt right above the sway bar? I have a V6 so there is alot of room to mount it. Thanks./

Put it where it can get the coolest, cleanest air. Make sure to run the ducting away from heat too...

So would going straight down be a good idea? Or is it cooler by the stock location?

I would say straight down behind the radiator is NOT a good idea. This location tends to get less airflow than other locations, I would say if you run it straightdown in front of the radiator would be more ideal. Try to optimize clean, cool, and flow.
