Where did you find a 295/60-16 drag radial? That's a 30" diameter tire, and the picture does not look like a 30" tire. I've put 30.5" slicks on an SS convertible owned by a friend of mine, and it took significant body work. Yes, bias-ply slicks grow at high speeds, while radials don't, but they wouldn't even fit on the SS standing still.
Are you sure they aren't 295/50-16 = 28"? That's the size you asked me about in the PM, and I told you they should be OK.
