Weird nitto observations..questions.

I have a a4 96 vert with following mods,magnaflow catback,airfoil,ile bellows,
cold air,160stat,hpp tuning out,maft translator,and recently added some 3.42 gears.Stock stall.
I was burning my tires off pretty easily with the cooper cobras 235s on their .Today I threw on my new nitto 275/40/17 from my 99 ta and the vert dead hooks. No spin at all.I can get spin if of course brake torque it up hard but if just punch it off the line it dead hooks.Does this seem right for my above mods? The car ran a 13.88 ,13.93 and 14.01 at 2.14,2.15 and 2.17 60fts with mph showing of 101.3,101.5 and 99.7.The tazzo was within a tenth at the track when I ran it in my car, dead on for 60ft and 2.5 mph higher than track mph.I am running again on sunday at track just wondering if my car should be able to break those nittos loose.I guess if track is slipperier than the highway then might have to air them down and heat them up a bit.

Last time at the track the car ran 14.96 at 94mph with a 2.38 60ft.That was before the 3.42 ,I had 2.73 gears, and before catback and tuning and on street tires.

I am at 1900 feet elevation.

Re: Weird nitto observations..questions.

I wasn't heating up the nittos at the track..just driving them like street tires with pressure down to 26 and then 24.I haven't done burnouts before at track and have no line lock so figured heck with it this time.Thats why best was only a 2.18 on the track.Worst was a 2.34 with most runs 2.20 something.Don't think the car has enough power right now to get a 1.9 or 1.8 without a stall. The 3.42 gears helped big time over the 2.73s but still if the car dead hooks on the street and only gets 2.10s then can't see how it could be any better than that unless they are spinning some and can't hear them spin.

Anyway sold the nittos today..planning on running some et street radials next season..hope the auto will let the 10 bolt live for a bit.
