Tires for 97 z28?

I have a 97 z28 30th anniversary edition. Need new tires bad, the car was sitting for a couple of years. In the front are 245/50r16 and back are 225/55r16. What tires would you recommend for a daily driver? It's hard for me to find tires I like in those sizes. Thanks

What are the driving conditions where you live? Do you still have stock wheels, or are these aftermarket? I find it odd that your front tires are wider than the rear tires...

The standard tire size for a Z28 in 1997 was 235/55R/16 BW and a 245/50ZR/16 BW Performance or All Season Performance tire was optional. Front and rear tires would have been the same size. If the car is going to be used as an occasional or daily driver I would go back to a stock type tire.
Check the Service Parts Identification sticker on the door to find the original tire size. RPO #QCB was a P235/55r/16 BW, #QLC was a P245/50ZR/16 BW Performance and #QFZ was a P245/50ZR/16 BW All Season Performance tire.

I have stock wheels. I don't know what is going on with the tires, the person who had the car for me didn't really take care of it so it has it's oddities lol. But I'm in California, it's usually pretty dry, sometimes rainy.

Summer tires will give you the best grip in dry times, but can be a little scary when it's wet. If you are worried about the rain, an all season tire will serve you best.

I run Nitto on my Camaro, but could not find one in your size. My daily driver is an Acura TLX, and I have been very happy with Kumho, but have also run Hancook.

Make sure you check the codes as Peter mentioned. I also prefer Discount Tire for purchase as you can normally get close to the same price and net a $100 rebate when buying 4 tires.

so I just checked, my tire loading information says both my front and rear should be 245/50r16. no idea why the 225/55s where put on... but that makes me happy considering the fact the tires I want are 245/50s :) thanks guys
