ok guys i have a 95 Z28 and im not gonna change the wheels anytime soon, they are the stock 16's, i need new rubber and i narrowed it down to between the Toyo Proxies 4 and the Firestones wide oval Indies !!! what do you think ? and which would look better on my wheels without sacrificing handling and ride quality, please i only need advice on these tires reason is thats all it seems i can get in stock in my area and they are reasonably priced...Thanks.

i've run the wide ovals and they were pretty good. As long as you dont have to worry about cold temps the wide ovals are awesome, they work well in the rain as well. when it was warmer out they would often dead hook in first gear up until the day i took them off

I am running the Wide Ovals and have no complaints. For a good all-around tire they are good. Nice traction, great in the rain, and pretty quiet. Probably the best tire I have ran, but i have never tried any "serious" tires (Nittos, etc).

I have ran a couple sets of the old wide ovals and really liked them. Also several of my buddies also have/are running them on there Camaros and Stangs. But since they have went to the Indy 500 we are all changing. The Indy 500 has less traction especially in wet conditions and the tread life is way down in my opinion.

I run the toyos I love them... never ran the oval though.
