Skinnies... and driving

Just a quick question about driving on Skinnies.
i have the weld pro starts 3.5" up fronts that I recently put on. I know they are Drag only but what about the occasional trip into town on backroads? anyone driving on these occasionally on the street? And before anyone starts throwing flames and calling names. I see these all the times on the mustangs but the camaro is heavier and I don't see these on the camaro's around here.
I don't plan on driving on them daily as this is obviously not my daily driver anymore but on those nice sunshine days its hard to beat putting it into town for work with the tops off and the wheels shinin! :)
I don't plan on taking it on the highway or on curvy roads with the skinnies only long straight roads and very slow corners.
Just want to see what everyone else with these wheels are doing.

Keep in mind that the front tires provide most of the braking, and with a "skinny" that basically has no tread pattern or traction, stopping power will be non-existant. I've driven my car to the track (7 miles) and to car shows with the Moroso DS-2's on the front, but I've never had a situation where I had to make an emergency stop.

I had friends drive them with their "weekend warriors", but driving slower than normal around corners... One did get into an accident with them... Was it a factor??? Don't know.... :)

Mine doesn't have the moroso tires, Mine actually have a bit of tread Not that I want to find out the hard way that they won't stop very well. I will however give it a try out somewhere without traffic.
Thanks for the replys guys its greatly appreciated!

obviously you can get away with it but it's not safe. it's one thing to cruise 5 miles into town but you better take it easy!

:)

I'm not saying it was the right thing to do but I put on approximately 10000 miles of daily driving on the 3.5" Prostars and crappy R165 tires.

I personally like the ride with 3.5 fronts with kumho solus 27 inch tall tires.... ive driven to other states on and off interstates rain or shine. no issues here I just have to watch out for pot holes.
