Repairing Curb Rash

The wheels on my camaro go a little scuffed up when i almost got run off the road a few years ago... I was wondering if it is possible to repair curb rash? And to what extent, what's involved etc..? Has anyone done it before? Thanks guys

i did this on my 94' Z's ZR-1's.

I used that filler stuff they advertise on TV (sorry i cant remember the real name) and filed it down polished and coated. It worked damn well, but took 9 hours of my life away hehe.

It involved (for me) washing the rim, using a small torch, using the filler over the rash and then filing and a small amount of gringing with a MEGA high grit, thats KEY for it to look kick *** , then some high polishing wax, and that other stuff (sorry cant remember its name) and some dupli-color Clear Coat

it sounds much more complicated then it is, its just time consuming.

i was actually just reading up on some write-ups on repairing wheels. It doesn't seem that bad, but what if the rash is on a polished lip? How would you fix that?

the coloring will be off, but just high polish the lip after the repair and clear coat.

It will look fine from a couple feet away.
