Picked up 10 Spoke SS Wheels for $175

***FOR SALE - Wheels are finished, powdercoated black and for sale now!! Check out the classifieds section or PM me for details.***

Found these on Craigslist yesterday, picked them up today. Turns out the guy was having a 'buddy' powdercoat them, got two of them done and realized there were bubbles and imperfections in the finish so he stopped. He halfway stripped the other two, but the two powdercoated wheels need stripped.

Someone mentioned using Permatex Gasket Remover to strip the powdercoat, will that work alright? Then can I sand down any imperfections, scuff them and just prime and paint them like anything else? What are your opinions on wetsanding them? I'd rather put in a little bit of time now to get them looking how I want than regret taking the time later. Anyway, here are the pictures! The two on the left are powdercoated, two on right semi stripped.

That last picture is the worst road rash out of any of them, that is my pinky finger. Other than the finish they were in awesome condition! No dents bends anywhere, not bad for $175

I'm hoping to get a final result like this LS1tech member's:

I got most of the crappy powdercoating off of them. Monday morning they were dropped off at my powdercoater's shop, can't wait to get them back! Hopefully they'll be on, with pics, a week from now.

Finally got them on, but not finished yet. I need to take the center caps to get paint matched. A friend recommended me to J&J Performance Powdercoating http://jjpowder.com/ and they did an awesome job getting them satin black. I'm more than pleased with the results and can't wait to finish them off with the center caps. The tires are 275/40-17 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta I bought off a member on LS1tech.com, I love them so far. Anyway, here are a couple quick pictures, I'll get better ones later when I have some time and some scenery.

Good deal! I love how the satin black came out, really glad I didn't go with gloss. Post some pictures up once you get them mounted.

Looks good! I did this about 1 1/2 years ago, but I got the wheels painted.
