Nitto 555 or BFG g-Force Sport?

I am looking for new front tires. I have always used 555s since they seem to last, perform well, and match my drag radials. But I have heard a lot of good things about the Sports. Anybody have experience with both?

I don't care much for the sports, I really like the BFG KDWII though...decent traction in wet weather too.

go kd or kdw2. The 555r sidewall wont be as stiff as a bfg tire.

I think he's talking about using regular 555's in front, not 555R's.

Personally, if you're thinking of the KDW or KDW2s, I say save yourself some money and get the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 instead. It's a better-performing tire for a bit less money.

I have no idea where you get your pricing at, but the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 aren't cheaper than BFG KDW I or II according to tirerack. The Eagle F1 is well over $200 for a 275/40/17 tire and for a 315/35/17 it's $281 a tire) ...BFG is down in the $170-$190 range for a 275/40/17 tire, and $269 for 315/35/17

The new KDWII are awesome tires I might add. way better than my old gy eagle f1's in my opinion.

The only real issue is the KDW2s don't come in 275/40/17s and the KDW2s are the better version... Need to go to an 18" rim

Okay, well, the GS-D3 was cheaper in 245/50/16 when I bought mine. I paid $175/tire.

That's what I figured...prices start to get rediculous going +1, +2 is even worse.
The original poster who asked about tires has zr1s so I assumed they are 17 inch wheels. And they had the 275/40/17 last week dunno, why they're not listed anymore.

as for 18'' BFG KDWII tires:

265/35ZR18 ($211)
275/35ZR18 ($228)

So not too bad for a 18'' tire I guess....
