I need to learn to use my ET Street Radials... any advice?

I'm making the EXACT or worst times I did with my normal tires... I need some tips on warming them up and how much pressure to use... I tried with 14 psi and giving them a medium warm up in the water box and still got sideways from spinning out of the hole :( :( :( Do they need to get REALLY hot? How hard do I have to burn them? Besides the 255/45/16 drag radials I have LCA and relocations brackets, brand new bilstein shocks... still spinning a lot :(

when in doubt heat them up some more. I find it hard to believe that stock street tires are hooking just as well as drag radials.

What are your 60' times with both sets of tires?

Just play with the air pressure and burn outs. I know guys that drop them down to 10psi and have tried 8.

I would start at 14psi. Smoke them for a good 5 seconds maybe. See how that run does, then go to 13 psi same burn out, see how it runs. Keep droping the pressure till the car either does not run any faster.
What I do it just burn them untill I see a good bit of smoke in my rear view. About then the rear of the car is nothing bt smoke.

when you finish the burnout (if you use the water box) dont let the tires stop spinning while you are still in the water. This may sound stupid, but some people do it and it totally negates the burnout you just did.

Do you have the M/T Radials...If so they are 255 50 R16s..Anyway, I think you need to go up in pressure...I went concsistent 1.55s with 17 psi cold. If you drop them too much you'll cup the tread and negate everything. You want as much pressure as you can to hook well and be stable at the finish. Are you an A4 or M6?

I roll thru the water, give them a quick turn over once out of the box and then lock the line lock and let the tires heat up thru 1st and 2nd, when the car shifts into 3rd I let off the line lock and roll up to the line...No dry hops etc...I launch off idle and flash the converter...Hoping for mid 1.40s with the Bogarts and new 275 50 15 ET Radials...
