Help me pick my next set of tires....come on guys

Ok I got a set of Kumho MX treadwear 220 AA and A. There size 285. These tires have been pretty good.

I want/need a new set of tires. I"m selling my old ones and there hankocks H speed reated.

We don't have snow down here..like maybe 1 inch a yr...and Igot a daily driver. So my main concern is dry/wet, but will be using these tires year around.

Kumho ECSTA ASX 420 AA A
Kumho ECSTA SPT 320 AA A
Avon TEch M550 A/S 360 AA A

Which ones do you think would be the best there all about the same price......

Personally, they are all cheap tires in more ways than one. Try taking a look at some Nitto 555R's. The tread life is actually longer than the Khumo's, they hook up, and handle much better in rain, and on dry pavement, and if you talk to the Discount tire guy on this board, you can get them for about the same price as the ones you are listing.

All those tires are a step down from the MX. With those choices, you may as well keep your Hankooks.
You say wou don't need to worry about snow, yet 2 of your 3 choices are all season.....

Well the website says MX is made for near freezing I have always ran them in the winter no issues...and the all seaons have more tread...

really thinking of going with the Kumho SPT

The hankocks are only A and not AA and H speed rated yucky.

Re: Help me pick my next set of tires....come on guys

Do you really exceed the H speed rating?

The Kumho MX has a softer compound and is designed for competition. That means it'll hook better and have less sidewall flex.

The other tires are not going to have the same traction and will have a softer ride which means the sidewalls will feel mushy in corners..

It's your descision. Do you want the tires to limit the performance of your car or do you want them to be able to keep up with your car?

I think I exceed the H speed rating 3rd day I had the car...too hard of rubber too.

Gues I'll just get me another set of MX.

I just got Konis and sams bars...and thats great but if your rubber won't hold the road whats the point right?

I was pleased with my Mx's. If i were to have a daily driver, i would purchase another set. Good choice.
