BFG Sport and KDW...Opinions please

Looking at the sports for $160 each installed and the KDW for $207 each installed.

Please post your thoughts on these tires. Emphasis is on straight line traction.

Thanks

BFG G-force KDW are similar to the Kumho ecsta's imo, not a very good tire. If you want a good street tire that hooks decent look at the KDWII. Way better than the original G-force KDW.

Don't know too much about the BFG Super Sport A/S, but it should be better than the G-force KDW.

KDWIIs are definately a great street tire, they are designed for all around usage, Straight Line, Cornering, even have decent wet traction

The real issue is that they only come in 17"+ sizes, and for the F-body you'll need to jump to an 18" Rim Although they are worth it

Not sure what your question is??? Was there more to your post that the the Above Quote???

KDWIIs are a great street tire. Although as you stated you want straight line performance and that's all I know.

I was just commenting to help you understand more about the KDWIIs....

If they don't fit your bill so be it.....

Whoops, forgot the link showing the kdw2's. I now see from the BFG site they are not available in 275-40-17 just like you said.

So now the choice is down to the traditional KDW or the sport.

I've also heard good things about Eagle F1 GS-D3s

They are available in 275/40/17 size

Although could be a little more than $206 installed

I'd say then go with the Standard KDWs then....

Ultra High Performance Tires

The Sports have a little less traction and handling.. But if you are more worried about price I bet they would be fine

Although keep in mind neither is going to be the 'King of the Hill' for traction

I mean I only have a chip, CAI, and exhaust and I can still spin the KDWIIs which are rated MUCH Better

Although for the price your looking at you'll get a good tire

get the sports, but beware. If you always settle for less when it comes to tires, you're severly limiting the potential of your car's performance. You got to pay to play my friend. You're not going to find a decent tire for bargain basement prices.

Money to an extent is not an issue. $160 or $207 makes no differecne to me. $300 is out of the question.

I have bought $250.00 Pirellis in the past and they were ****. Same thing with Dunlop as well as others. Seems the less I spend the better the tire so I seeking opinions on these two tires without factoring in price. The sports are a newer design that may have similar performance with a longevity hit, or maybe not.
