Running:

OEM takeoff vette C6 wheels.

4th Gen rear axle assembly.

......... with .625 custom machined slip on spacers for the rear. 1.7" bolt on spacers front. 295/30/19 rears 255/40/18 fronts. Tire are Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's

I have a C5 brake upgrade coming soon to get rid of the TINY stock fronts :)

Would you mind if I "stickied" this post? We have virtually no information about the 3rd Gens, and this is a great example.

Did you measure the difference in width between the 3rd Gen and 4th Gen axle assembly width? I've seen the 4ht Gen reported as both 3" and 4" wider.

What length studs did you have to use for the 0.6+" rear slip on spacer?

ok sure you can sticky this if you want

i used ARP 2.5" long studs for the rear since i needed longer studs for my weld drag wheels. I use a 5/16" slip on spacer for my drag wheels to clear the LS1 rear brakes. I ground down the caliper too to clear the 15 inch drag wheels

Now with the 19" C6's i needed .625" slip on spacer to get the wheel centered right in the wheel well. It was tooo tucked before, so i moved it out to just near the lip. (Most 4th gen camaro rims will fit a 4th gen rear end swapped thirdgen without spacers) The spacer is wheel centric, meaning it was machined with a lip to match the wheel centerbore and the centerbore of the spacer also matches the rear hub. This takes stress off the studs. HIGHLY recommended for spacers greater than .5", or even .375". ARP studs tho are very strong so they can handle a good load

93-97 4th gen rears are about 2" longer per side. the 98-02's for some reason are a tad shorter, around 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 inch longer per side. Not much difference, but it is a difference.

most guys with a stock 3rd gen rear will want to use a 2.5 inch bolt on spacer for 19x10 79mm offset C6 wheels. I think same will apply to a Z06 wheel

so do u have the 93-97 rear or 98-02 rear?

Did u have problems with the bump stops? is that why you used .625 spacers?
i just installed my ls1 rear and the inside of the wheel hit the bump stops

naw, the bumpstops are fine... the HUGE offset of these wheels required me to space them out farther.

the large 79mm offset i believe it is tucked them in way to far and they hit the inner wheel well. EVEN with the 4th gen rear which is almost 2 inches wider per side than the 3rd gen rear. So i got a 5/8 spacer to push it out even more to clear the inside. Kinda sucks but thats what you get with these wheels.

With ARP studs which are longer than factory by a good inch or so, i have no problems getting lug nuts on and dont worry at all about spacer creating moment forces on the studs. they are more than strong enough and the spacer has wheel centric lip and hub centric bore so it fits very very tightly against the rear's hub and the spacer actually is stuck into the wheel's bore. that wheel lip which was extra cost adder feature was worth it.
I could have it welded around the outside of the wheel where it contacts the mounting face and it would effectively cut out alot of that offset and be even stronger

Do u have the arp studs part number?
I really want to put these wheels on, but the big brake kit sucked up all my money..... will post pics of car when i complete it....

nice looking wheel would be killer in one size all around 18 or 19. either way nice ride.
