245's on the Front, 275's on the Rear

I'm tired of fighting the crappy rutted roads around here with 275's all the way around. Was looking at BFG g-Force KDW's and thinking of going with 245/45/17 fronts & 275/40/17 rears. These would be going on my Stock 17x9 SS wheels and would be for mainly spirited street driving. Anybody have this set-up and can offer an opinion?

Re: 245's on the Front, 275's on the Rear
That's what I've been running for about 9 months now... no problems at all. I did it mainly because with my car being so low in the front, if I had the car loaded down with people, fuel etc etc the upper A-arm would actually rub the inner part of the 275's. Had it happen on a road trip and opened up the inside of my tire like a can opener. Put 245's on and it's been fine every since.

The 245's look sort of anorexic on the 17 X 9" wheels but it isn't something that's completely obvious to people. As for following ruts, it SEEMS like it helped out a bit but can't tell you if it's that major of a difference or not.

Honestly... I don't think you'll notice much difference between the 275 and 245. I've never tried that exact combo, though, so it's just my opinion. Maybe some custom alignment specs might improve things for ya, with some sacrifice in the tire wear department.

Yeah i run those sizes on a 9.5" rim. Sumitomo HTRZIIs on the front and Nitto DR on the rear. I'd do it again. Looks good on the front and helped with tracking a lil bit. Nowhere near slicks and skinnies, but it gives a slight staggerd effect to the wheel combo.
