There's info on the Weld Pro-Stars, Weld AlumaStar 2.0's and Bogarts in the FAQ at the top of the page.

Gregg Weld has come out with some new drag wheels that are supposed to be good:

The Billet Specialties Street Lites are getting good reviews:

The Mickey Thompson ET Drags look interesting, but I don't see a 15x10:

For a 15x10" wheel, you need a 7.5" backspace.

Thanks for the info.

thanks for the info fred... just what i was wondering
what are people using for front drag wheels that have c5 brakes on their f body? is there another choice besides bogart or ccw? any chance a weld or some thing along that price range will work with a spacer?

Injuneer 10-09-2008 11:47 PM

I just saw an advertisement for a new 17x3.5" wheel for large diameter brakes. Can't remember where though.... I'll keep looking through my magazines.

Weld now offers a 17x4 wheel for F and Y bodies. It's in the November 2008 GMHTP under the Cutting Edge section.

+1 for the Billet Specialties Street Lites.

http://www.billetspecialties.com/pro...id=16&scid=251

In that link you'll find their new line of 17" Street Lights available in 17x4, 17x8, 17x9.5, and 17x11 with the proper backspacing for FBodies.

I'm going to go with 4 x 17x9.5 with street tires, and 2 of the FBody Specific 15x10 (which clear the stock LS1 rear brakes without grinding) and run 275/50/15 Hoosier Drag Radials.

This way I can put my drag radials on for a day and the rears will match the fronts (just be 2" smaller wheels); and when I want to just be normal street duty run all 4 17".

To me it's the best of both worlds. Probably invest in a 15x3 later down the road.

Some guys are going to run 17x4 with a 225 tire and 17x11 with a 315 tire for street duty. I love these wheels!!! Post picks when I get them on and mounted. :D

are the greg welds out that fit the fbodies w/o spacers?

No supposedly they are working on a redesign, but the current Greg Weld wheels for the rear don't even fit LT1 brakes without grinding let alone LS1 brakes.

The fronts do fit though and look pretty good with Prostars.

If you're willing to pony up the $$$ i'd look into the Billet Specialties 15x10 FBody specific wheel. It fits perfectly. I'll probably pick one up here soon as they look like really nice pieces. They're not exactly cheap though...
