Who was the one putting a Big Block in a 98 TA?
I talked to you a few months back but i cant remember your screen name. anyway, is it done yet? you said you would have pics when it was running
Re: Who was the one putting a Big Block in a 98 TA?
The guy im talking about is a cool as **** crazy **** in austin. He used to work for Prewitt Racing and he used to build motors for tractor pulling. I think he's planning on using a super tall deck BBC (11.65" deck merlin block or maybe a 5" bore custom block) around 650ci and spinning it to about 9500 rpm. He was gonna use shallow pistons and longer rods to keep the rod ratio over 1.6 so he can spin it up. He told me he was shooting for 1300 rwhp on pump gas. Again I emphasize... CRAZY ****.

Hey guys...
I have just about everything ready to go in the car just don't have the time to put it together with law school in the way
It ended up being a pump gas blower motor (496 ci) followed by a th400
I will be back in B/CS this Dec. for Xmas and plan to take the motor up to a shop in Houston to get it assembled....then either put it all in by spring break or summer...
I know this is not what you wanted to hear but I promise to post pics when it is all done!
Damn I cannot wait!!!

feel free to IM me if you want to chat about it at "rickprietojr"
