Hey guys!!! One of our TFBA 2nd gen members, David Hershey, is planning a "Smokey and the Bandit" event, starting in Texarkana and ending in Atlanta, GA. He is the owner of a GORGEOUS "Bandit" TransAm, which took an award at the State Fair and at numerous other car shows around the area.

Plans are in the tentative stage right now, but he is trying to put this event together around Memorial Day, to coincide with The Fbody Gathering 11 in Atlanta and he wants to get Burt Reynolds to make a special appearance at the event.

All fbodys are welcome to make the journey.....kind of a Hot Rod Power Tour kinda thing with overnight stops along the way. If you think you might be interested, check back monthly in the TFBA "Meetings, Events, Gatherings, and Shows" forum to see what progress has been made in planning this run.

Burt Reynolds is my grandma's cousin. I've never met him, but it would be pretty neat I bet...

I have had enough personal smokey and the bandit runs. If you know what I mean. Not quite that far or that long, but 5 sherrifs vs one black WS6 is not fun. Even though I got away. :P
