Smoked a corvette today!!!!
I know this should be in kill stories but I wanted to share it with the guys here in San Antonio.
Was headed to work this morning and just got on to I-10. I was moving thru traffic and spotted a blue corvette. I moved up along side him and let him know I was their. Well I passed him at a nice easy pace. Well then I was about 3 miles from De Zavalla and I saw him coming up fast. It was just starting to rain (very very light) and I was not sure if to go or not. But what the heck, Ive done it in worse conditions in Iowa (snowing). So I jumped on it and got on his bumper and away we went. When we made it arounfd the curve right before De Zavala I looked down at the speedo and had it pegged at 150. I know what you are saying: What a fool! In morning traffic and all. Well it was very very light around 7:10 this morning and the road was all clear in the 2 left lanes. Anyways I could I have taken him at any time. I mean I was letting off the gas most of the time so I would not tag him in the rear. I could have went around but I didnt want to make any lane changes at 150 and with a little rain.
Anyways it was my first time to take it up that fast. Wish it was dry and straight. I know I would have smoked him. I think by the looks of it I would say it was around a 93-96 corvette.

Unless you got that tune up and some mods, the only way you could have been on and off the throttle against a C4 is if it was a TPI vette. Which would be about like if i raced one LT1 vettes put up good fights for stock f-bodies
Great kill none the less.

I did get some type of a tune-up over the week-end. Installed SVO injectors, new fuel filter, new plugs and wires. Also installed the K&N C.A.I. and a new cap. Ever since I had my tranny rebuilt about 400 miles ago the car seems to run a little stronger now.
I dont now what to say, but im pretty sure it looked a though that year. I could have reached out and kissed his bumper I was so close. I had to keep letting off the gas elso it would have been one big french kiss.
Who knows maybe I will find him again and get a closer look. I saw him pull into the Chevy dealer right down from my wprk.

uronecrazymonkey alright. Have you considered what could happen if you blew a tire and lost control at that speed? If you want to take chances with your life, then that's your business. Go someplace out in West Texas where no one else is around. There are entire families on the road at anytime of the day, or night. It's just not right for you or anyone else to put peoples lives in jeopardy, if just for only a few seconds.
