San Antonio WINS!!!

Although, it was a brutally close game...........in the fourth......

And to put some icing on the cake............I would like to add.........my motor is TOAST. Yes, I get to rebuild AGAIN. We made it to 6K RPM and toasted the motor. Ennis will be raced by Rowdy Racing but less a Trans Am. Next up? ........maybe a blown 409? We'll see.........

Anyhoo, GO SPURS!!!

Bran...dare I ask how you did it?? Give me a call when you get a chance.

Oh no, a Laker fan in the bunch?

Eddie, the motor was built by Janke. It was one of the last built by his shop. MANY things were not as they should have been with that motor. His guys were taking short cuts in the end. Regardless, it held up longer than it should have given the number of times it was run WOT lean. The previous leak down test showed number 7 at 25%. I think the extra RPM, boost, and dropping fuel pressure was just too much. My fuel system is new but is still not supporting the horse power so this summer will be a test of my dedication to this car. I will say that it pulled like a **** on the last WOT pass.

I think TOAST may be too strong of a word. I can still drive it, it's just not able to handle anymore WOT runs until after the rebuild. I'm growing old and patient so I'm not going to give up. I may just re-ring it, go through the heads again, and go with a bigger cam. I may start over completely and go with a 409. I haven't decided(gotten permission from my wife ).

TRF, no LS1 in my future. I'm in too deep with this LT1. It's a love/hate relationship but in the end LS1's are going to love to hate it. Even those of the 422 cubic inch variety.

Spurs fan here...just a little frustrated with their 4th quarter performance last night.

Sorry to hear about the troubles...sounds like our race will never happen since the Formula will be going home this summer. On a side note...if you're gonna tear into the motor, might as well go bigger (hehe, the wife MIGHT buy that one).

Oh, I don't know, she might have ONE pass left in her.

As for the Spurs, their 4th quarter play is second to none in the "makes me want to " category.

As in it dun blow'ed up again

Still waiting for that day it can put a hurt on my bolt on queen.

Ford, "I dun blow'd it up again."

No problemo, though. Considering what I've been through trying to chase down and diagnose problems over the last two years, the motor itself is a piece of cake. It's all the OTHER parts of the combination that are a royal PITA (fuel system, ignition, tuning, BOOST, etc.).

Sorry I didn't call you back like I had said. We didn't get home from the Missions' game till near 11.

And for making a call tuesday night, that, I actually have no excuse for so I'm not going to BS something up for ya.

Thanks for keeping me in the mix though. We ought to get together and do something again.

If you wanna get that power-sprayer over to your house during non-quiet hours, lemme know and we'll try to do that. Get those stains off your garage floor!

It wasn't me!

All this started because of a 100 dollar race with me. But it doesn't appear that either one of us will ever have are car where we want it so lets line up the trucks.

Tahoe vs Yukon......

17.5 seconds later....

Damn it, tied again!!!

You're on!

SUV VS SUV

Do you have any idea where that would lead the two of us? Can you imagine the conversation between my wife and I?

Wife: Honey, the Yukon sounds funny. It's loud. And it's whining like the Trans Am.
Me: Well, I had it tuned up a little.
Wife: A "tune up?"
Me: Yeah, the service guy told me that with such a heavy vehicle that any performance modifications would help with the gas mileage and towing ability.
Wife: Oh. Did you put a K&N air filter on?
Me: Of course.
Wife: Oh, cool. But it's still kinda loud. Is that from the air filter?
Me: No. Not the air filter. The headers, true dual exhaust, and the solid roller in the stroker motor make a little bit of noise and the ATI Procharger make it whine a little. But we picked up nearly 2 mpg on the highway! Awesome, huh?

Don't do this to me................

Unfortunately, the Spurs will lose the next two.
