First off, welcome to Texas! As far as emissions there really aren't any yet. Maybe in a couple of years, and even if you have some emissions modifications you can usually find some place that may pass you. The front plate is a gamble, I've gotten stopped numerous times in the past for no front plate. I learned my lesson and have it on now. Drivining in an f-body and looking young will bring the cops on your butt pretty quick in SA. Other than that they don't mess with you too often. Let us know what you're looking for job wise and we may be able to help out.

I have never had trouble with the locals or even county, now dps is another story. The locals and county don't care about the front lp while dps does, I have been stopped numerous times for that one, and i finally gave up and just took the cover off. Like Ben said, there are a lot of local shops who will pass you no matter what exhaust setup you have. FYI: I have longtubes, no cats, 3" x-pipe and 2 12" bullets dumped before the axle and I have a brand new inspection sticker.

I've had my cover on now about 6 mos with no trouble. I may have to pull it off though just in case since maybe I've just been lucky.

Interesting. 2+ years now, no front plate, been stopped 4 times, 3 warnings for going too fast, one 70/55 that DD cured, but never a no front plate ticket. Guess I'm lucky. I'm not putting one on my car.

As for emmissions, there are none -yet- , but I think sniffers are in our future. There is a state inspection where they supposedly check and make sure you havent tampered, but if you're professional about what you do, passing inspection is no big deal.

I have....
longtubes
!EGR
!Air Pump
!Cats
cutouts bolted to the header collectors
true 3" duals with 16" bullets dumping in front of the axles

I was cruising around with the cutouts open and got pulled over, the cop was more concerned with my bald nitto drags then he was with the exhaust.

As far as the front plate, I don't like them but when I bought the car, it already had it mounted up there, so I chose not to mess with it.
