repair est. questions..

Ok, so I was in a accident a while ago that messed up my front bumper and passenger fender. All the places I goto say to replcae those 2 parts and paint those two parts will be between $2500 and $3000. Now, it's all on my insurance so I'm just paying $250. But I know that I can get those 2 parts new for $300. So that leaves a really big difference on painting. I would think for that difference I could get the whole car painted. I guess this is their way of ripping off my insurance company.

scan an estimate or something.

JUST a bumper COVER and FENDER should be like $500-600 for parts, and about 600-700 for labor...

I just had a door/fender replaced/painted after a HS girl hit me in her BMW ( ). Total was about 1500 from a dealershop (Nissan).

Like he said - take a look at the estimate. Keep in mind they are probably quoting you GM part$.

Even GM part numbers are not that damn expensive. A GM bumper is around 450 and a fender is around 175.00. Why don't you go ahead, get the amount of the estimate, buy the pieces from a body shop, have them paint it, and put it on your self. You will have AT LEAST 1500 left over for whatever.
