RCR on October 11th. This Friday

Some of us are heading to RCR this Friday. We were thinking of meeting at Blockbuster on Pat Booker in Universal City. Its a short trip to the track from there and everyone can find blockbuster. Maybe meet there at 5:30- 6:00? Lets here some feedback this week and get something etched in stone.
Thanks Nathan

I should be there. Maybe in the '91 if the cam/intake are back on by then...otherwise I'll just flog the '98 a bit.

Unfortunatly I missed the Dyno day. Forgot it was the same weekend I moved. But that's over, so I should be good for friday. Don't know whether I will be running the nitrous or not, but need to try out the Nitto's. You get the 'verter Ben?

Ben had the verter for 80 miles and now has no motor! I'll have to pass this Friday since I now have a nice 3 inch hole in my block! Time for a new setup. Some of you will be seeing my tail lights very often real soon. (evil laugh) New motor coming soon!

I had an oil pressure problem before I did any major mods. It ran fine for several months, but on my way back from Houston after some awesome tuning and the car running better than it ever has, it started making some ticking noises 20 miles from Weimar, Texas. I pulled over and could not find anything wrong. I started the car up once again and it had some problems turning over. Well the ticking got worse and finally the check gauges light came on and 2 seconds later I lost all power on the car and it turned itself off. I was lucklily by a gas station and was able to get a tow back to Houston at the cost of $232! That sucked, come to find out in the morning that the motor blew.

Now I have choices, yes a 422 is an option, but most likely it will be a 408 stroker (crank) on an iron block with forged internals so the supercharger will be able to go in fine after that. I'm going with a 242 cam for sure so it's all up to what kind of stroker I want now. I could go all bore also but I think I'm leaning more to the crank. It should be done in about 2 weeks or less if everything goes as planned. I'll keep you all updated.

That was one QUICK signature update!

Sorry to hear about the motor. It always seems that just when you have things the way you want them - it all goes south. I think that was the same thing that happened to the '98 I have...except this one went on for several days before finally giving out.

Glad to hear that your stroker build will be underway so quick!
