I have decided to go with a TNT wet kit for my LS1. I have a 98 with the 28.6lb injectors. I wish to spray a 200 shot. Don't try to talk me into a smaller shot just want to know if the stock fuel system can handle it ontop of my heads and cam. If not what needs to be upgraded. Any experiences here with similar setups? ET/MPH?
some info on the car that might be useful...
591/591 226/226 112
s2 heads
Ford 9" with 4.56's
M6
thanks in advance!

1 word fuel
find a way to watch your mixture, the o2s dont cut it. you are just playing with fire
spend the cash and get FAST with the wb 02 option
ok after that
4.56s and nos umm whats the point you will be in od during any race
but if you dont care go for it i ran a 200 shot (top gun)
and lets say it was pretty damn fast
the worst part is you can only get a max of 2 good runs down the strip
the n2o goes very fast with 200+ shots
i suggest dual bottles and make sure you have a bottle heater

With a 200 shot on stock pistons, make sure your tune is spot on, I would recommend some octane booster or unleaded race gas. You will need at least a booster pump, or a seperate fuel system for the spray. Traction permitting, and assuming the pistons don't come out the exhaust, a 200 shot should be good for around a 1-1/2 sec increase in the 1/4

I will not be in OD for most the race or the track with 4.56's....trust me, plus I now rap the motor out to 7 grand...so that makes a diff aswell, I couldn't imagine the car with any other gearing...it would probably bog with anything less than 4.30's anyhow...some LS1 setups on ls1tech.com trap just fine with 5.30 gearing...ex. Coach...do a search if you dont believe me
I figured I would need to upgrade the fuel pump, how about injectors? I was thinking 42lb injectors...
I also have a set of 5.3 heads for the raised compression coming from AHART soon...so will this play much of an issue on the setup..I am gonna try to run as close to 12 point compression numbers as i safely can on pump gas....I will only spray on race fuel though

Since you are going with a wet kit, you don't need any additional fuel added from the injectors. The fuel solenoid does that for you. And with that much compression, you will definatley need a higher octane on the spray.
Something you might consider, since you want the wet kit and the high comp, is building a stand alone fuel system for the spray, with a small, seperate fuel cell and pump. Then you could just run race gas when you are spraying, and not have to worry about filling the main tank all the time with the high dollar stuff. There are guys out there doing this already...

Great idea texlurch....do they sell kits for this? Or is this a project I have to undertake from scratch? How exactly do they work anyhow? How do I shut off one pump and turn on another for when I spray or when I am doing my daily driving...sounds interesting...

How about you quit worrying about brand names, and get a NX kit. You are too worried about what the "top guys" are running. Get a used NX kit for like $350, and jet it up. I guarantee that you won't see a 5hp difference if you go with the right jets. That is what N2O HP is all about. It isn't about a "power ring" or whatever. Get NX.

the separate tank just adds additonal fuel...main pump is still supplying fuel to the injjectors...you could use the main arming switch to turn every thing on... fuel pump, noids, etc...
