Newbie here - Corpus Christi

Hey guys, i'm new here to CZ28. com and from Corpus Christi, TX. I was referred here from LS1.com where i'm JimmyxBly. About a month ago I landed myself in a 99 Z28 and ever since its been great. On LS1.com I never really heard anything about the FBodys in Corpus, I know every now and then there's gatherings at Albertsons on Saratoga i've seen but it was before i got my car. So just wondering if anyone here knows anything about the scene around here. I'm only a teenager so my car is stock, its got a K&N, but i'm not gonna put it in until I get my lid because i've heard of problems getting the stupid gasket off the stock lid. Anyway welcome the n00b

BTW here's pics of my car

Welcome Jason!
If you call K&N and tell them you need a new gasket, they should send you a new one at no charge!

hey guys, thx for the welcome
I would like to do FRA mod but my parents pay for my car and my dad knows all about engines and he knows I wanna do it and doesn't really approve of me cutting the tray. I'm not gonna go behind their back and do it, especially when they pay for it so I think i'll stick with stuff they let me do heh. I'll keep an eye out for a 2000 pewter V6. And Brian thx for the advice on the K&N, its funny though, i've already called them once for a new gasket because I bought this one from someone else so I hope they'll still be able to send me another anyway heh. And ironically enough, I called you earlier today to order my lid Brian
