Post New San Antonio Sniffer tests...

Anyone know what the rules are regarding the inspections next year. Maybe a good link?

For example, I've deleted the air pump on my '91, and I wonder if they will fail it because of this. Anyone know for sure?

I coulda sworn I heard that mandatory testing was going to start next year. If not, that's good news to me...will give me more time to get the '91 up to par. *whew*

Thanks!

I am new to San An, and I havent check out the inspection requirements yet. I was wondering what kind of testing they do. Anyone have any info, tho I doubt my cat-less Z will pass.

If it's REALLY loud, they will look. Many places on the south/west side will not even check. They look at the windshield, signals, headlights, taillights and gas cap usually. DON'T go to the "OFFICIAL" inspection stations that are painted like a texas flag...they check E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!!! Damn *****!

That should answer your question about a catless car passing inspection.

We've got something at Advance I saw the other day that you pour into your gas tank and it guarantees an emissions pass or double your money back.

If it's true that has to be great for your motor.

Uh, huh... so I suppose it will cure the fact my car is running so rich it burns your eyes! LOL!

Might be a good money maker if it's double your money back.
