NEEDED!!! Driver's side exh. manifold (LT1), preferebly B/CS

I was trying to take my y-pipe off and broke the bolt on the manifold off!

Anybody have a spare used one from a header swap or something lying around? I really could use it as there's a horrible exhaust leak now.

Please let me know.

Kyle

sweet

oh, and i messed with the two bolts that are still there and it's not too bad now, so i'm not in the huge hurry i was in anymore

when you gut your cat does it usually make a wind type noise when you step on it? mine seems to me making that and it sounds like it's coming from that area.

You don't need a new manifold. Just find a bolt at a hardware store. I did the same thing .

Obviously, you will have to get the rest of the stud out of the manifold (IOW, yank the manifold), but you don't need a new one.

BTW...Gutting the cats will make the car sound pretty bad, IMO. So some weird noises are going to be expected. Exhaust leak-like sound, etc...

Yeah, i've got that sound now. I might try to find someone with an off-road pipe, or maybe just get a straight pipe welded in.

SO...to get that broken stud out I should go ahead and yank the manifold off?

thanks for the help, i'll let you know rick if i need it.

They came off of an LT1 that my gf's brother was working on....I can't just say for free so when I asked him how much he wanted for them he said "whatever they are worth".....if that is $0 dollars then so be it...again, I am just not in the position to give out other people's parts for free Tony.

Richard: If I haven't acquired one by the next time I'm in Dallas I'll take you up on that offer. Thanks.

Rick: Dude, I understand. Let me know if he'll let it go for nothin or dirt cheap You're still a cheap bastard though! When's that damn car of yours gonna be finished??

ALSO: what's my best option to get rid of that *** sound that the gutted cat makes? Get an o/r pipe or just weld in a tube in place of the cat?
