My car is acting up real bad. My air fuel guage reads nothing at all, my exhaust smells like gas, and when I get up to @15-20, she starts sputtering real bad. It feels like I lost 50 HP in 2 days!! I'm no mechanic, so any input would really help. Thanks.

 

O.K., so I just changed my fuel filter and ran octane boost and fuel injector cleaner through the system, and STILL no change. So what do ya'll think now? Change the wires and plugs? Check the fuel pressure to see if the pump is working correctly?

 

I know when my opti went out my car went all kinds of crazy. ran like crap till about 20 mph, then fine, then it got worse and started dying out. How is the air/fuel gauge hooked up? An o2 sensor? if it's not reading anything then it isn't getting any info (if it works). I would start with where it reads the info first and work your way back.
