Might Be Moving Down Your Way

Well, as of right now, things are looking like I will be moving away from Indiana, and living down there for awhile (League City, Houston). Who all is from around that area? Just wondered what it is like, I am gonna work, and finish school. Any hangouts, etc in that area? Thanks

Howdy!!
Get ready for a shock, dude. We just gotten a little break from the drought we've been in, over 30 days without rain, and temps. in the 90's. Because it's the gulf coast the humidity is usually in the 80% range.
Leage City aint to bad a town. Only problem are the police, probably the second worst in the area. Also traffic though town is the pits.
Be careful where you buy, the area is flat and low, so there is a lot of flooding. Most insurance companies don't cover any kind of water damage. "Farmers" just threaten to pull out of the state altogether.
The waters of the gulf coast SUCK, can be 80 degrees in the summer time and there always brown! But we do have the third largest Marine area in the country, so if you like boating.

So anyway why League City, do you have a choice? Where are you going to work?

Well, League City is where my relatives are living, they own a business, and they would let me stay in their guest house. As far as work goes, I would most likely work for them, but I suppose anything car related I could do as well. For the past 4 years since high school, I have been working at our Sheriff's Dept here in Indiana, and the bull**** is getting old. I am goin away so I can concentrate on finishing school, and not have to be around the politics, and watching my *** that I have to do here. Any good schools down there? Most likely I would buy another F-body once I am down there because I wouldnt need a winter beater. I am just movin away for awhile to get away. What all is there to do down that way? I know Houston is right there so,..thanks

I am just wondering if there are any speed shops down that way that deal with f-body's, or cars alike, just looking for some part time work with something I enjoy...

Your relatives should be able to fill you in on the area a lot better than I can. With Houston being the 4th largest city in the nation you souldn't have any problems finding what your looking for.

Good Luck,
