F/S: 93 355c.i. M6 Z28 $3,200 Price is negotiable
Hey guys, as the title says I have a 93 Black Z28 6-speed with a fresh 355c.i. LT1 for sale. The reason it is so cheap is it has recently been in a wreck, it needs a new front bumper, drivers side fender, and hood(but I have a stock hood I will give w/ it). I dont think there is any frame damage or atleast none that I saw when I looked at it. The radiator and everything else was not touched in the wreck. The rest of the car is good shape. I would give the interior about a 7-8 out of 10. The performance and appearance mods are listed below and I have receipts on everything.
MOTOR MODIFICATIONS: Motor was just rebuilt with the following mods in October.
Block - 355c.i. LT1 w/ prepped and polished crank

2. SLP Ultra Z Hood(has a little damage to the corner, not sure if it is repairable)
3. I also have a set of Silver 17x9 10 Spoke SS rims off a 2001 SS, they are not on the car but I will sell w/ the car for a little extra cash
The motor and the clutch have 3,XXX miles on them, the transmission has 5,XXX miles, and the rearend has around 10,000 miles. I think that is about it, if I remember anything else I will add it.

I see you asked why they totalled it. I have a 95 TA that had almost identical damage done to it. Mine was both fenders but nothing from radiator back was hurt. No frame damage either , but I am friends with the adjuster at the body shop and he came up with $5000 in just parts, time, and paint. Unreal really, I had to fight with the insurance to keep it from being totalled. Lady told me she could get at least $3000 for it at auction so I'd have to buy it back for that fom the $4200 they would give me($4700-$500 deductible). I got my friend to get it by them and get it fixed though.
Hey smackkk, yeah I was wondering why but I guess it makes sense w/ all the parts, time, and paint like you said. Another reason they told me was because it was a 93, they werent going to waste their time to repair it. I mean dont get me wrong I love this car and really hate to see it go. Anybody on the board that knows me personally will say that I have put my heart and wallet into this car. When I first bought it, it was black w/ silver stripes, stock body, and had those nasty euro tailights on it, plus an all stock motor. All and all I think it became a really bad a** looking Z with the motor to back it up. I would of fought to keep it like you did, but I saw this as an oppurtunity to get the LS1 I have wanted. Glad to hear you did get your car back though.
Hey James,
I didnt know you were on this board. Yeah I hope your car doesnt end up like mine either, you have a very clean T/A. It will look sweet w/ a ram air hood and the mods you have coming will be pretty awsome also. Good luck with it.
