Can somebody help a fellow F-body enthousiast out ????
After over an year an YEAR waiting for my heads and intake for which i paid GOOD money i thought i was conned.
Constant excuses and promises that were never met made me think i'd never see my parts again.
I'm located in Europe so going over to see what's up is not possible and i need those parts to FINALLY finish my Lt-1 project which now lasts 7 years !!!!!
Yes, i have a V6 and bit by bit i looked into swapping the entire engine + tranny and all other parts. I saved my money, had an engine shipped to Europe ($$$$ !!!) and now i'm preparing to build it up the right way so when it goes in it won't need anymore modding.
Several mods are so much easier to do when that engine is out of the car so here i am ......
To make a long story short, i contacted the Guy (Chris) in Mesquite TX for the 215th time telling him i'm not pleased with the waiting for over a year and i would take legal action.
He once more appologised as usual but now he said i could have the parts picked up within a couple of days !!!!!!!!
I could not believe my ears and now i now have a bit of hope this is going to turn out right afterall (have not much of a choice).
IS THERE SOMEBODY IN TX closeby whose trustworthy and willing to pick up those parts, examine them, take a picture for me and send them to a friend of mine in Lousiana who will then make sure it gets here ???????????
I'll ofourse pay for shipping and other costs.

Anyway, how am i doing ?? Reasonable.
Not doing too shabby on the averge scale, doing VERY well on the Volkswagen hobby scale (bought a Golf Rallye G60 for the family and i enjoy it very much, TOO much), but i'm doing crappy in the F-body department
The story above is giving me grey hairs and there are signs of me getting bold before the age of 40.
Also i do not yet have all the parts needed for the conversion yet and some proof to be a true pain on this side of the planet
You knew what a hassle it was to get that engine + tranny's here but then to find out that the freaking crossmember and radiator+fans were not there were a dissapointment.
The bad luck started when i was crossing the border hauling that engine + tranny in a tandem trailer and the police pulled me over and noted 5 seperate fines ($500 worth) ranging from speeding to not having the proper documents, and it was my Military ID that saved my behind that day.
Over the past months a lot of things happend that were minor setbacks but alltogether it was not much fun.
For instance, Dave promised me his crossmember as he bought Silas his aftermarkt one. I traded it with Dave for a complete gauge cluster that was send to DGM (drop shipped) to be converted (200 mph) so he wouldn't have to send in his all the way from Germany.
Dave doesn't know where it is as it's at Tony's and Tony doens't know it either as it's within one of his storage conatiners.
Can you believe that they lose a bulky crossmember ??
Then you buy a 13 year old family car that you strip, repaint, tweak and TLC it and then you find out that the Volkswagen is giving you more joy than the Camaro ......
It's because of that 3.4 that i lost interest after 7 years of driving it, the Lt-1 brings that feeling back and it did (for a short period of time), but once your in a position that is not progressing, you don't have all the parts you need, a moment will come when you start looking at Subaru's and wonder about trading it all in and take your losses.
It must be the winter season that got me down like this but i must say that if this heads and intke deal IS gonna workout even after more than 1 year i'll feel a lot better and i can start building that engine and swap that engine this May.
Roy is trying to get me a crossmember and radiator from a side collision wrecked 95Z that was BOUGHT FOR $300 !!!!!!
Man i needed that car, it would have been a PERFECT donor car with the proper engine ! (mine turned out to be 94 instead of a 95).
But we'll have to wait and see what happens.
I'm gratefull that people still care and are willing to help. I'm a lot more positive this week compared to this week

Well at least when you get it done it will be much more sweeter. Check the F-body europe board. Theres another wrecked Z (1993) in Vilseck.
If Chuck cant help you out, I will be more than happy to help you. Judt let me know. Also let me know if you need anything from stateside I will do my best to help.
