Post Block Q&A...

My motor is GONE. That **** won't even turn over. So I need to know where I can find an LT1 block. When I find one, regardless of the condition, if I get it put in a heat tank, honed, cleaned, etc. It would be like a brand NEW block, right? If so, where in Texas, (preferably San Antonio) can I get this block heat tank, cleaned, honed, blah, blah, blah.

before you decide to toss it out, figure out what is wrong. Chances are you have just seized a bearing (unless you see a rod hanging out the side)
You can reuse your block for much less, so why not do it?
If not, then call the local machine shops, and check the yellow pages for core places, but you won't get a gaurantee on anything used, so you might end up worse.
I would tear yours down first, and see how bad it really is.
