If your looking for a place to get parts. Do your self a favor. Don't go to racenet performance. They had my order held up for 3 weeks and they kept telling me that they where one the way. Turns out they had ordered the wrong parts, And had to reorder them. The 3rd week I called them and told them to cancle the order. They said fine the order was canceled. Well 2 day's later I called them to make sure they canceled the order, Because they just seemed unsure of what they where doing. After calling 30 time's to get an answer they finely pick up the phone. I ask them if they cancled the order. The guy replies that order went out this morning. I could have chock that moron. Now I shipped it back after 30 more phone calls that no one answered. I get a return # from them and ship it back. Out of my pocket. Now they received the pakage about a mounth ago. Still no credit from them on my credit card. I had toi put in a dispute with the credit card co. What a waste of time I could of had my car done with all the time I wasted with them! Just trying to help some for you out!!!!

I have read a lot of bad posts about them over the years. The couple times I did business with them everything went fine, but you never read bad posts about Thunder ot Tom Byrne.

FWIW, racenet.net, or Internet Racers Supply, used to be a sponsor of this site a long time ago.

I have been dealing with them for about 5 years now. I have spent prolly about $10-12,000 with him. Havent had a single problem. Most of the parts on my current set-up came from them. I will still recommend them to everyone. Just my .02!
Sorry you had a bad experience. No shop is perfect.

I had excellent customer service from Racenet.net

Ordered my FLP longtubes from them and they were delivered to my door in 2 days.

sorry you had a bad experience, sh*t happens

took me 2.5 weeks to get a set of hardened pushrods from thunderracing..... they charged my credit card 3 times for the same rods in that process..... does that make them a bad company, and did I raise a ****storm about it online? no, cuz sh*t happens sometimes

it all depends on how much money they think they will end up getting out of you. my dad got all his tires from friendly tire in temple always being treated like royalty. we've probably spent 3k on tires over the last several years. my aunt had a manufacturers fault with a new tire she just bought and didnt want to drive back to austin with a chunk of tread missing from her tire. so she thought that she could get it replaced for free at friendly tire and friendly tire would send it in and get reemburssed. the guy that treats us like royalty told her that she wouldnt be able to return the tire and she asked "why not i just bought it?" and the man cut her off and said "obviously you dont want to hear the truth, NO ONE WILL TAKE THIS TIRE BACK!" the man was mortifyed when he found out that he treated my dads sister like that and we havnt done business with them since. people like to think that they are just being friendly, but in the end its all about how much you are worth to them.

sorry for the long post just wanted to show that im sure these guys really do run a crappy business and the reasons yall were treated well is either because you are big customers or they didnt have spend much of their time ordering one simple item.

Honestly the first year or two of dealing with them I ordered small items that where hard to find and get and they came through perfectly. That is what gained my trust with them to spend as much as I have. While I was attending A & M, I basically had my own side-job performance business and I got most of the parts from IRS. I built 4- LT1 strokers, LS1 mods, cam installs, heads-cam setups to suspension parts and they always got the parts correct and within one or two days. Their prices are always cheaper too. But.....like I said....sorry about what happened. Im sure it was not intentional.

You know me, and I have had problems with them. So, you're a liar!

I've posted this several times, but...

Called to see if they had a shifter in stock. Went to pick it up (30 minutes later), but they "had just put it on the truck to ship out."

EDIT: To their credit, they did ship the shifter to me with free shipping (I proposed this and they accepted).

Wanted to have a clutch installed. Setup a time/date. Dropped the car off, and then got a call (two hours later) saying the clutch wasn't in stock.

Friend of mine had a shift kit installed on his 02 SS. After 3 times (test driving the car) they finally got the car to shift again.

I always dealt with an Asian guy - don't know his name. He was always very nice and friendly, but that's **** poor business and could be avoided if IRS had their act together.
