a street car will pass emissions and uses cats, etc etc..
I doubt your nine second street car coulda passed emissions or had smog/cats..those "trilor queens" drove their cars up there, had inspection stickers and considering they were pre smog era the fact that they didnt have cats and smog equipment still kept them in the "street car" genre...their hirns and blinkers worked....a "race car" usually uses a unibody with stickers where lights would be and such...quit whinning...

Nothing personal Jordan, and most of my opinions are based towards Stevan, and I am aware that he is a big boy and you have nothing to do with his actions, but the fact that you have stood up for him means you will be the target of peoples comments...

My car never will be and never was a street car? LOL!!! I have put 70k+ miles on it in 3.5 years. It has AC, cruisecontrol, a bumpin stereo(had) and even with the 401ci motor chugged along at a nice 23mpg. It actually DID have carsound cats, and DID pass emmisions. did I always run my cats? no.. but it did pass emmision with them on.
besides the fact, street car has NOTHING to do with tag/inspected.. cause anybody can get that. a real street car is something that somebody could/does drive everday. Eds car is a good example. So is stevans. so is mine. so is SW's. so is Chad Klodners. (last 2 I listed are 1000hp cars)

What the **** are you talking about? how is a stroker SBC with FACTORY valve angle heads, a LT4 intake and a STREET GRIND cam(came out of cam motions street grind lobes) be a trailer queen motor? I somehow doubt any trailer queen motors get 23 mpg, and after being torn down after 20k miles still be in great shape. That includes several road races, lots of drag racing etc. (road racing makes drag racing look like a sunday drive.. wear/tear wise) My mom borrowed the car on several occasions to get to work etc. My old motor is actually now in a race car, go figure. he is gonna step up the cam big time tho. car is close to running 9s ALL MOTOR.

I agree, AutoX would prolly be fun, but more for cars like the WRX, Lancers, skylines. Blahblahblah, I know you can make our cars handle almost as well but those cars are really made for it. I wouldn't mind a WRX in my driveway.

I know from what you have posted, about my car not being a street car.. something that could not be farther from the truth. And no, your car isn't fast. its a head/cam/nitrous LS1 like everyother one. take it to the track and run some numbers, then you can talk about how fast it is.

Just cause its fast doesn't mean its not streetable. Also, my car, for the record... never ran a 9sec ET.
The only one of my motors that was together for less than 20k miles was the one that had the piston problem, but as stated before.. it was quickly fixed.

IS NOT A STREET CAR. WHAT is?? it passes emmision and a saftey inspection.
it has NEVER left me stranded. OK, take that back.. 3 years ago (with a stock motor at that) a serpentine belt broke.. other than that, never broken down on me.

I doubt your nine second street car coulda passed emissions or had smog/cats..those "trilor queens" drove their cars up there, had inspection stickers and considering they were pre smog era the fact that they didnt have cats and smog equipment still kept them in the "street car" genre...their hirns and blinkers worked....a "race car" usually uses a unibody with stickers where lights would be and such...quit whinning...

Ok, so my car.. a car with AC, power steering, cruising control, stereo, air bags, ABS, all carpet, etc.. no light weight BS parts, a motor that gets 23mpg on the highway, chugs along at 1500rpm, is drivabe enough that my mom can handle it in rush hour traffic(she doesn't even drive a manual very often).. a car that I can drive to the beach in Galveston with my GF, sleep on the way to Austin whileshe drives.. autoX in AUstin, then drive back to CS.. only to the following day drive it to Dallas... IS NOT A STREET CAR. WHAT is?? it passes emmision and a saftey inspection.
it has NEVER left me stranded. OK, take that back.. 3 years ago (with a stock motor at that) a serpentine belt broke.. other than that, never broken down on me.

If anyone doubts Jordon's car was or is a street car they need to lay down the crack pipe. Numerous users from this board will verify that he would and does drive his car on the street all the time. I personally have trailed jordon driving on the streets numerous times while going to gtg's, lunch, dinner, clubs, bars, and probably other places I cant list. His car is a street car and always has been a street car. Even more ppl can verify this ahvign riden in the car, but I dont think ive ever done that before. Sorry to burst your bubble or delusional episode.

I have too much money to spend? HAHA. right. I haven't even (with all my 100s of motors) come close to spending what you just spent on your CAR alone. my car was 7500, and that leaves me with prolly at least another 15 K to spend before I get to the cost of your car.. of which, I am no where close to. For that magazine article we added up all the money i had in the 401 setup, including 12bolt, etc etc.. and was still below 15k TOTAL(including car). I am the oppisite of a checkbook racer. i DO EVERYHTING myself... my 12bolt is almost a one off "musserghetto special". I ported my own heads, all my cams have been ground to my specs, I have done all my own engine assembly, and even some of my own machinw work, I rebuild my own transmission, you name it.. I do it. I am in progress buidling my own turbo headers.

.. W/ the next day being a work day! LOLFWIW.. Jordon's 40"whatever" motor was a much more streetble motor than my lil' ol' 355 ever hope to be. Nor has he ever blown up a single motor.... I do that enough for the both of us
. In fact.... If you were to get technical about it... Only 3 blocks have found their way between Jordon's fenders. The stock motor from the factory. Then the 383.. which turned into a 396 cu in. oil burner.. which he bored a lil' more into a 401.. And the final motor - for the time being... A stock LT1 motor w/ a 1997 LT1 cam . All the motors.... please.... quit joking yourselves.
