Unhappy Anyone have LT1 edit?

I'm in the process of putting an OBDI motor into an OBDII car and recently learned that I'll have to delete the crank position sensor via LT1 edit. If I understood right.

I'll buy you some beer or something.

they are locked to the PCM, if you are going just to OBD1 then you wont have to delete it, just get the OBD1 PCM swap them and swap the knock sensor to an OBD1 KS as well. the OBD1 PCM will delete it since it wont look for it

are you getting an OBD1 block? if so then it may run with the light on but if it does not very good nathan knows where to get a PCM for like $60 i believe.

I busted the crap out of the KS on the removal of the old motor, might need to get a new one anyway. So should I get the obdI or II KS? Or just the cheapest one?

And how can I get in touch with Nathan?

KC,

I did this swap back when I have my '96 LT1 Caprice, and it was pretty straighforward. You can leave the CPS plugged in, the OBD1 pcm won't be looking for it.

Eddie's right about the blue wire. I still may have the pinout chart in my PC somewhere if ya need it. I'm sure its out on the internet too... I did swap out the KS in the block too, just to be safe.

I could probably find a pcm for cheap, but I dont wanna give away all my secrets! E-mail me if you can't find something..

Actually the motor I'm putting in doesn't have the CPS, so if i run it while I still have my OBDII PCM in the car, I don't think it would like it.

But I've probably got a month or so before I will be all finished so that should give me some time to save up some cash for that OBDI (and get my throttle body back from eddies apartment)

If you still need one, I will call and check on Monday if they have any left. just let me know if one is still needed.

It will either be for a F,B,D Body. Either way it will work.

If you could do that I'd really appreciate it.

Maybe it'll be running again by 2004.
