NE1 recommend speed shop/Camaro mechanic in NW Chicago suburbs?

Hi. Looking for a great mechanic to help with mods.

Can NE1 recommend a speed shop/Camaro mechanic in NW Chicago suburbs?

Thanks. I bought the car last winter and only recently decided to mod the car.

A local dealer with a Z28 mechanic (fanatic) did the oil changes.

It's nice to see a speed shop so close by.

What kind of mods are you looking to do? There's Flp in naperville, I know several people that have gotten work done there and they don't seem to mess a lot of cars up. They do a good job but charge a little more. I'd recommend trying to find a shop that's not high volume, that's when you start running into problems with getting quality work done, it's basically just all about how fast they get the car out of there. A shop with less volume can take their time on your car and do a good job. Personally if the mods aren't anything big I'd recommend doing them yourself that way you know the job gets done right. Just my 2 cents
Good luck

I suggest either Speed Inc. or Finishline Performance. Both are pretty good shops. I have never had any work done at speed inc, but I have had them check out my car before. There is a lot of posting about if are they good or bad, but the fact is that just about all of their customers are satisfied when they leave the shop. Not everyone can be perfect.
Either way, I would reccomend speed inc for their knowlege and experience on Ls1's and Lt1's. I would also reccomend FLP because I have had work done there and they are pretty good people also.
