i am a fireman in crete,il and we are putting together an event tenatively for june 20th. its gonna be a show/cruise night that will take up our enitre downtown area. i believe they want to charge a small car fee of 10 dollars as of now but it will be benefiting a charity (most likely MDA as we raise money every year for them). the fire department and village will be hosting the event along with area restaraunts with discounted food and drinks. its gonna be an all day event. i don't know yet if we will have prizes or raffles as all proceeds will go to charity. we are still putting it together and i don't have all the details yet because i just got it approved tonight by my union and village board for funding. i'm just trying to see how much interest there would be from the forum to come out and spend the day for charity. i know times are tough for everyone right now but its for a good cause. just let me know if you are interested and i will post more details as i get them
